AWS plugin doesn't populate dynamic address group(DAG)

Symptom


  • AWS plugin is configured to fetch Dynamic address group(DAG) from AWS in Panorama.
  • Under DAG, no IP addresses are registered. 
  • IAM (Identity and Access Management) role is validated in Panorama.
  • Connection to AWS (Amazon Web Services) is successful. 

Environment


  • Panorama with AWS plugin.
  • PAN-OS 8.1 and above.

Cause


VM in AWS are turned off. 

Resolution


Turn on the VM on AWS. The VMs in AWS must be turned on to fetch the information from AWS and register the IP address under DAG.
