Symptom


  • Configuring a Global Protect Gateway in the Template on Panorama.
  • The following error message is displayed during commit.
"third-party-client unexpected here -> ipsec is invalid"

  • Supported PAN-OS
  • Templates

Cause


Firewall is running on the FIPS-CC mode and the Template is using the Normal mode.

Resolution


  1. Change the Mode to FIPS in the Template
  2. Retry the Commit.
