When the Firewall's Passive link state is set to auto in High Availability configuration, what is the expected link state for the corresponding switch ports?

Passive link state set to auto under GUI: Device> High Availability> General> Active/Passive Settings> Passive Link State> Auto


HA auto Passive link state


Answer


The expected link state for the corresponding switch ports (not considering LACP nor STP) should be in an "up" state from a physical layer perspective.
