If a Prisma Cloud alert is configured to auto-remediate, will I still get notifications?

Question


If I configure Alert Rules to both auto-remediate and also generate notifications, will I still get notifications when an alert is created?

Environment


  • Prisma Cloud API.
  • Alerts.


Answer


  1. Yes. The notifications are based on the selected status.
  2. The Auto-remediated alerts will start with the "Resolved" status. 
  3. If the status are not selected, then the notifications are not seen.
  4. The feature needs to be enabled before configuring notifications. Contact TAC or CSE teams to enable the same.
  5. The picture below shows an example the configured notifications.

GUI: Prisma cloud Console > alerts > view alert rule > Edit >  Configure Notifications
