Question


When onboarding an AWS Cloud Account, does CloudTrail need to be configured to send events to CloudWatch?

Prisma Cloud
AWS

Answer


No.  However, if CloudTrail does not send events to CloudWatch, then certain events cannot be ingested (refer to the list of events here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/monitoring/logging_cw_api_calls.html)
