Objective

The session timeout represents the event that occurs when there is no action performed on a web site during an interval.

In Cortex XSOAR, users can specify the number of minutes that a session can remain idle before the server automatically terminates the session. The default is 60 minutes.
We recommend not setting the timeout to more than 60 minutes (except in special cases), because every open session holds onto memory and is not secured.

Environment

Cortex SOAR

Procedure

  1. Go to Settings > About > Troubleshooting.
  2. Under the Server Configuration section click Add Server Configuration
    Key: security.timeout
    Value: number in minutes
  3. Click Save.
