Can Palo Alto firewall create DNS A records on the DNS server for clients connected via VPN (GlobalProtect VPN).

Environment


  • Any Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Any PAN-OS.

Answer


This is not supported, Palo Alto Firewall will not create or modify existing DNS A records.

Additional Information


Domain joined computers should update their DNS records correctly themselves.
