Why newly added vulnerability signatures are not shown up some of my firewalls?
Newly created signatures that are added in the latest content update are not searchable or available under the vulnerability profile. Even when the all signature database is been exported, those signatures are not shown.
Environment
- Any PAN-OS
- Palo Alto Firewall
Answer
All vulnerability signatures are written and supported for a minimum and maximum PAN-OS version. One of the reasons the signature will not available because that signature is not supported in the running PAN-OS version. The supported version for a signature can be verified at threat vault at https://threatvault.paloaltonetworks.com/.
Check from the following fields:
- PanOS Minimum Version
- PanOS Maximum Version
