Symptom


Security Policies the Target column shows serial numbers instead of device name after upgrading to PAN-OS 8.1.12

Upgraded to PAN-OS 8.1.12
Target shows serial number

Prior to upgrade (ex. PAN-OS 8.1.11)
Target shows device name

Environment


  • Panorama
  • PAN-OS 8.1.12
  • PAN-OS 9.0.6

Resolution


This is expected to be fixed in an upcoming software release, there is no ETA at this time.

Workaround
If you click on the Target serial number it will show you the device name

Click serial number to show device name
