PA-VM deployed in Azure using bootstrap has serial as “unknown”

Symptom
PA-VM is deployed through bootstrapping process in Azure Market Place using Bring your own license (BYOL) model and the firewall instance boots up with serial number as “unknown”.
- Login to CLI & Execute following two commands
> debug logview component bts_details

- Above CLI output indicates authcodes file is missing
Environment
- Platform: VM-Series Firewall
- PAN-OS / Plugin Version: 8.1.9 / -
- Deployment: Azure
Cause
- “authcodes” file is either missing in Azure Console > Fileshare > within the “license” folder or the filename might be incorrect
Resolution
- Rename the file within “license” folder on S3 bucket from “authcode” to “authcodes” to fix the typo
