Symptom
PA-VM was bootstrapped without installing a license. The authcode file was found but the license was not installed/applied.
- Run the below CLI command to verify if authcodes file was identified from the licenses folder within the bootstrap package:
> debug logview component bts

Environment
- Platform: PA-VM
- PAN-OS / Plugin Version: Any
- Deployment: New
Cause
- Auth code present within the authcodes files is prefixed with invalid characters. Aut code “key:A30013001” was used instead of “A30013001”
Resolution
- Edit authcodes file to have only one VM-Series auth code as seen in support portal.
- Ensure white spaces and/or invisible characters are not present within the authcodes file
