How to retrieve Panorama license using the original serial number after performing factory reset?

Question
If a Panorama VM is failed to boot up due to an error that requires to perform factory default, how to retrieve the license using the same serial number?
Environment
- Panorama VM
- PAN-OS 7.1, 8.1, 9.0
Answer
The following steps can be used to set the VM serial number and retrieve the license:
- Enter the original or previous Panorama serial number in Serial Number field under (Panorama > Setup > Management > General Settings).
- Then, retrieve the license keys from license server in (Panorama > Licenses).
