Question

On occasion, "The server is not responding. Please wait and try your operation again later." message is seen when accessing ACC report. What does this message indicate?

Environment

  • PAN-OS 7.1, 8.1, 9.0.
  • Any Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • ACC Reports

Answer

  1. This message is seen when the management plane (MP) is not responding to a request for data and so the request will timeout due to high "I/O wait" time.
  2.  "I/O wait" is time that the processor/processors are waiting or idle (this time where CPU is  “waiting for I/O completion”) to complete a task or request.
