Symptom


When commit is done on Panorama the error message "Failed to delete Address" is seen with no reference being displayed.

Example:  
1- Failed to delete Address - prd2qbmcpvip. 
 prd2qbmcpvip cannot be deleted because of references from:
     error message 
 

Environment


  • PAN-OS 8.1 and 9.0.
  • Panorama managing Any Palo Alto Firewalls.

Resolution


Restart the management Server to resolve the issue. 
> debug software restart process management-server
Note that restarting management server will cause management access to be restarted but will not cause traffic impact to the dataplane.
