Symptom
When trying to add a managed firewall to Panorama, "Error: Maximum number of managed device reached" appears
Environment
- PAN-OS 8.1 and above.
- Any Panorama
Cause
The maximum number of devices exceeded the devices allowed in license.
Resolution
To resolve this error, one of the following can be done.
- Delete non-connected devices to ensure the maximum allowed devices are below the license threshold.
- Add the license to support a higher number of managed devices.
