WF-500 Generating critical alerts For VMCTRL processes

• Errors are seen in WF-500 system log (show log system)

2019/10/11 x critical general vmctrl_06: Exited 4 times, must be manually recovered.
2019/10/11 x critical general vmctrl_04: Exited 4 times, must be manually recovered.
2019/10/11 x critical general vmctrl_01: Exited 4 times, must be manually recovered.

• The output from "show system software status" indicates processes are stopped

Process  vmctrl_01   stopped  (pid: -1) - Exit Code: 0
Process  vmctrl_02   stopped  (pid: -1) - Exit Code: 0
Process  vmctrl_03   stopped  (pid: -1) - Exit Code: 0
Process  vmctrl_04   stopped  (pid: -1) - Exit Code: 0

• WF-500
• PAN-OS 8.1.10 and below.

1. Upgrade the WF-500 to PAN-OS the8.1.10 or higher to fix.
2. If the issue persists after upgrade to 8.1.10 or higher, Open a new case with TAC.
