Symptom
- External Dynamic List is configured.
- During commit, the following error message is displayed "Unable to fetch external dynamic list. Maximum file size (6.5MB) exceeded.. Using old copy for refresh"
Error: ebl_update_local_file(pan_cfg_ebl.c:2819): EDL entry(0xe4b800, 0x2099c800, 0x27891600 vsys1/new_EDL, 1, 1 url) Unable to fetch external dynamic list. Maximum file size (6.5MB) exceeded.. Using old copy for refresh. EDL entry(0xe4b800, 0x2099c800, 0x27891600 vsys1/new_EDL, 1, 1 url) No changes to list file

Cause
The maximum file size of External Dynamic List is 6.5 MB.
Resolution
- Reduce the size of External Dynamic List to less than 6.5MB
- The supported file size for each platform can be found using the following command
admin@PA-3250)> show system state filter cfg.general.max-edl-ip-filesize
cfg.general.max-edl-ip-filesize: 6500000 - The number of entries supported can be found under list capabilities. GUI: Object> External Dynamic Lists > List Capabilities
