Objective
This article describes how to create a new service object for use in policies.
Environment
- PAN-OS
Procedure
- On the firewall web interface navigate to Objects > Services.
- Click on Add to bring up the dialog box as seen below.
- Configure the new service with Name, Protocol and Destination Port. If needed configure the other values as well.
- For TCP or UDP service, configure the timeout values to "Inherit from application" or set the timeout values by using "Override".
- Click OK to add the service and commit to apply the configuration.
- Now you can reference the newly added service when configuring security policy. In this example TCP-PORT-11 is configured and referenced.
