Objective

Set the Port Speed on PA-850 device for ports 9-12 to either SFP (1Gbps) or SFP+ (10Gbps)

Environment

Palo Alto PA-850 devices.
Any PAN-OS.

Procedure

Use the command "set system setting ports-9-12-speed.." Setting sfp will set it to 1Gb and using sfp+ will set the speed to 10Gb.

admin@PA-850> set system setting ports-9-12-speed sfp+
  sfp      Enable SFP (1 Gb/s) mode
  sfp+     Enable SFP+ (10Gb/s) mode
  <Enter>  Finish input

For the new speed to reflect, the firewall MUST be restarted, Use the command "request restart system".

admin@PA-850> request restart system 
  <Enter>  Finish input

The set speed can be verified by using "show system setting ports-9-12-speed"
