Why Are My Security Policies Not Being Pushed from Panorama to Managed Firewall?

Environment


  • Newly added PA-220 on 8.1.6
  • Panorama
  • Firewall managed by Panorama
  • In-Sync
  • Security Policies and Device in same Device Group


Answer


  • Select the check box next to the Device Name in the Target tab of each Security Policy needed to be pushed to managed firewall. 


Additional Information


  • By defaults "Any" is selected for Target when creating a new Security Policy.
  • If specific devices are check, then adding a new firewall to the Device Group will not be selected and therefore will not push that Security Policy.
