Symptom


  • New feature in PAN-OS 8.1 to export policy rules, objects and IPS signatures
  • Internet Explorer is being used as the browser 
  • Error message seen -"Error while exporting" when exporting out the CSV/PDF file

Environment


  • PAN-OS 8.1
  • Internet Explorer

Resolution


Due to Internet Explorer limitations, use another browser to perform the export CSV/PDF
  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
