How to Retrieve an Evaluation License Extension

Details

Using the Web UI:

1. Select the device tab, then the license link in the left column.
2. Select the retrieve license. The new expiration date should be displayed.

If there are still issues in retrieving the license with new expiration date, follow the steps below to manually delete and refetch the license:

1. Delete the license key from the CLI
   > delete license key <filename>
   For example, if retrieving a license for Threat Prevention, then the filename will be similar to: Threat_Prevention_201x_0x_xx.key
2. Re-fetch the licenses using the following CLI command:
   > request license fetch
3. Alternatively, the license can also be downloaded from the Support Portal (https://support.paloaltonetworks.com) and installed manually on the device.
