Resolution


OSPF can be used for inter-VR routing provided physical interface and cabling is done between the virtual routers. Physical interface and cabling is required since OSPF neighbor has to be point to point or broadcast. OSPF does not support routing via static routes to its neighbor.

The alternate way to implement dynamic routing between Virtual Routers is via BGP which would not require any physical interface/cabling since BGP allows routing to its peer.
