'fatal recv error' while Committing

Getting the following error while attempting to commit

Error: pan_read_full(comm_utils.c:97): srvr: fatal recv error. sock=3 err=Connection reset by peer

Resolution

This error happens when the configuration file is corrupted.

To resolve this issue, load a previously working named configuration by following this procedure:

• Reboot the appliance while connected to the serial console
• Type maint (or m) to enter maintenance mode
• Enter "MA1NT" for password (without the quotes)
• Load saved config (saved_named_config)
• Reboot

Another workaround is to restore the firewall to factory defaults.
