User-ID Service Fails to Start with Error 1067 and Service Terminated Unexpectedly""

Symptoms

The Use-ID Service fails to start with error 1067 and message "service terminated unexpectedly" is reported in the system event logs.

Issue

This can occur under one or both of the following situations:

• The logging level for the User-ID Agent is set to debug or verbose
• One of the domain controllers in the list under User Identification > Discovery is not responsive 

Resolution

The following actions may resolve the issue:

1. Change the logging level to Information, as shown below
   
   
   
2. Remove any non-responsive Domain Controllers (DC) from the list. If there is a non responsive DC and the list and logging level are set to debug or verbose, the service can fail to start; however if this step is performed with the prior step, the agent may start much faster.
