Administrators are Unable to Change Passwords Due to Invalid Password Format Error

Resolution

Issue

When an administrative account user attempts to change the password under Device > Administrators, an "invalid password format" error is displayed presenting the following 'Authentication Update Error' message:

Resolution

The above message indicates that the password must match the password format requirements configured under Device > Setup > Minimum Password Complexity, as shown below:

This feature is applicable for all local administrator accounts. Users can disable this feature to not match any password requirements.
