Overview

When a user has a configuration lock, it is not possible to perform a commit or push a policy from Panorama. If the administrator is not available to remove the lock, a device WebGUI or CLI command can be used by a superuser to force the removal of the configuration lock.

Steps

To force the removal of the configuration lock from the WebGUI:

  1. Click the lock icon Capture3.PNG.pngdisplayed on the top right corner:
    Capture1.PNG.png
  2. In the pop-up window, select the Locks and click Remove Lock:
    Capture2.PNG.png
  3. Click Close to return to the main menu

To force removal of the configuration lock, use the following CLI command:

> request config-lock remove

Note: The lock can be removed only by a superuser or the administrator who set the lock. The lock is removed automatically when the administrator who set the lock performs a commit operation.
