The User-ID Agent service is running successfully with correct privileges. When starting the User-ID Agent application on the server using an account with administrator privileges, the User-ID agent is unable to commit.
Cause
In certain setups, Windows servers use User Account Control (UAC) to control privileges on the device. Depending on the version and Windows server setup the following errors may occur:
Query service status failed with error 5: Access is denied.
Access denied when creating config file. Program needs to be run under administrator account.
Resolution
In order to acquire full Administrator access when starting the User-ID Agent, the Agent software needs to be run with Administrator rights.
To do this, right-click on the shortcut to the User-ID Agent software and select "Run as administrator."
This will give the software the needed rights to work properly.
