Issue

If the device is running BrightCloud and has the BrightCloud specific Global Dynamic URL setting enabled, this setting must be cleared before migrating to PAN-DB.

 

Error

The activation will fail during the auto commit of the BrightCloud specific global config setting of Dynamic URL filtering.

 

Resolution

  1. Go to configuration mode.
  2. Delete the setting for dynamic URL.
    > configure
    # delete deviceconfig setting url dynamic-url
  3. Commit the changes and exit to administrator mode.
  4. Set the URL database to PAN-DB.
    > set system setting url-database paloaltonetworks
    admin@PA-VM> show system setting url-database
    paloaltonetworks
