How to Generate Group Activity Reports

Symptom
This document describes how to create a group activity report for a specific group.
Environment
- Palo Alto Firewall.
- Any PAN-OS.
- Reporting.
Resolution
- Go to GUI: Device > User Identification > Group Mapping Settings and configure the group mapping. Make sure the groups are retrieved by the Palo Alto Networks device:
- Enable user identification on the zone using GUI: Network > Zones > (zone name) and click on "Enable User Identification":
- Go to GUI: Monitor > PDF Reports > User Activity Report and click Add. Select the group for which the report should be generated and set the time period.
- Click "Run Now".
- The report is generated, a link is provided to download the report.
Note: To retrieve information related to Browsing Summary by Website and Detailed Web Browsing Activity, a URL filtering profile must be applied to the policies with action set to either alert or block.
