In the logs it is possible to see one port going down, such as port ethernet1/2, and two ports go up after that at the same time, for example port ethernet1/1 and ethernet1/2.

This is expected behavior in case there is a Link State Pass Through enabled on a vwire.

If for some reason the port ethernet1/2 goes down for example because of a faulty cable, or a faulty connector on the switch, the state will be mapped to the other port in the vwire, and the firewall will automatically bring down the second port.

In this example the ports ethernet1/1 and ethernet1/2 are in a vwire, so every time the port ethernet1/2 goes down, the port ethernet1/1 will also go down. Since this is the intention by the system, the log for port ethernet1/1 going down is not printed out in the system logs.

When the port ethernet1/2 comes up and becomes operational again, this will bring the port ethernet1/1 UP too. This log is printed out in the system logs.
