Getting default-sys 'vsys1' is not a valid reference commit error after Panorama upgrade

After Panorama upgrade to 7.X getting following error when trying to commit:

Details Validation Error:
template -> {template name} -> settings-> default-sys 'vsys1' is not a valid reference
template -> {template name} -> settings -> default-vsys is invalid

Cause


The Default VSYS selection shown in the Panorama template configuration is a new feature to Panorama 7.0 that allows pushing the template configuration for a particular vsys to firewalls that don’t have multiple virtual systems. For example, a template could have configurations for vsys1 and vsys2, and vsys1 could be selected as the default for firewalls that don’t have multiple virtual systems.

Resolution


To resolve the issue set "Default VSYS" to None:
Panorama Tab -> Templates -> Click on Template name -> Change "Default VSYS" to None
