Panorama Error Saving: Saving Traffic Filter

Resolution


Issue

Saving the Panorama traffic filter throws out an error saying "Error saving".

 

Cause

Admin accounts pushed from Panorama will not be able to save traffic filters. The traffic filters can be saved on the Palo Alto Networks firewall only by local admins and admin accounts pushed from Panorama using RADIUS authentication.

 

Workaround

The workaround available is to use the following CLI command to add the filter in the Panorama and push it to the device:
admin@PANORAMA# set template deg config mgt-config users Test preferences saved-log-query traffic test query '(addr.src in 10.160.80.14)'
