Steps

  1. Boot into maintenance mode.
    • If you have console access, you can boot into maintenance mode by rebooting the device, pressing "m" when prompted and quickly typing "maint" followed by hitting the enter key.
  2. In maintenance mode:
    • Go to Diagnostics.
    • Enter maintenance password: MA1NT
    • Go to Test Disk Performance and hit Enter.

 

Once the test is done, it will report the test results to the console.  This is a good test to ensure the HDD is not having read/write issues.
