Objective


  • When licenses are about to expire, warning messages are sent.
  • Trial licenses are no exception and will generate alerts when they are close to their expiration (messages below)
  • The article provides a way to delete the licenses.

Procedure


  1. List the current installed license files by running the command delete license key ?
> delete license key ?

GlobalProtect_Portal_2012_04_27.key        20xx/07/19 08:52:35        0.3K
Threat_Prevention_2012_04_27.key           20xx/07/19 08:52:35        0.3K

  1. Delete the license key file with the command  "> delete license key <filename>" command  The Tab key can be used to auto-complete the file name.

> delete license key GlobalProtect_Gateway_2012_04_27.key
  1. Confirm deletion by executing the following command, the trial licenses should no longer be listed.
> request license info
