How to Push and Install Dynamic Content Update from the Panorama CLI

Overview

This document describes how to use the CLI on Panorama to push and install a dynamic content update to managed Palo Alto Networks devices.

Steps

1. Download the content file with CLI command:
   > request batch content download file <filename>
   Hit Tab key to see available files
2. Use the following command to push the content file to the managed devices:
   > request batch content upload-install devices 0002C100610,0001A100204 file <filename>
   Specify multiple devices (as in the example above) by using a comma to separate the device serial numbers.
