Explanation

SNMP allows you to use network management software to poll devices on the network. Monitoring devices helps you find trends in system resource usage, which provides insight into system health and system utilization levels. This also helps with capacity planning.

There are OID's to monitor status of power supply units on the Palo Alto Networks firewall. These IODs are contained in PAN-TRAPS MIB and have the following IDs:

Example OID'sattribute
.1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.911Power Supply inserted
.1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.912Power Supply removed
.1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.913Power Supply failure
