Verify the logs are being written. Run the following commands from the CLI:
> show log traffic direction equal backward
> show log threat direction equal backward
> show log url direction equal backward
> show log system direction equal backward
If logs are being written to the Palo Alto Networks device, then the issue may be display-related through the WebGUI.
Run the following command from the CLI:
> debug software restart process management-server
Note: restarting the management server will reset your SSH connection.

Additional Information
Restarting the management server process usually doesn't impact packet forwarding, except for the fact that it will log out the administrator. It is always advisable to carry out any process restarts during off-peak hours or within a designated maintenance window.
