This week's Tips and Tricks is going to be brief. I've already covered the ACC in previous articles (linked at the bottom) but there are 3 common support questions I would like to highlight.

Question: How does the ACC work? – where does it gather the data from?

Answer: The ACC runs reports against aggregated data from all the sessions, threats, URLs, WildFire events, data logs, and file logs. In Panorama, the data is aggregated from all the devices.

Question: How often is the ACC updated? Is it real time or delayed?

Answer: The ACC data is aggregated every 15 minutes. The ACC itself is not real time, but logs are collected real time.

Question: Do I need to have traffic log enabled to have ACC work?

Answer: Yes, starting with PAN-OS 7.0, you need to have traffic logs enabled in order for the ACC to work properly.
