I was recently asked how to change an incorrect PAN-DB URL categorization. In other words, when the PAN-DB URL filtering has a specific URL categorized incorrectly, what can be done to change it to the correct URL category?
Issue
A specific URL has an incorrect PAN-DB URL categorization and is causing issues due to blocked traffic because of the incorrect URL categorization.
You can then see how the current URL categorization shows up: Test A Site showing the current URL Categorization The current category is showing up as 'Proxy Avoidance and Anonymizers,' but this is incorrect and needs to be changed.
To change this incorrect categorization, click the 'Request Change' option, which will open a new window: Change A Site screen showing options needed to submit a URL Categorization change.
First, choose a new category, many of which you'll see in the dropdown.
Next, enter your email address, confirm, enter the captcha text, then submit. Note: Most URL categorization requests are resolved in 48 hours, but some requests can take longer. If you need to check the status of your request, please contact Palo Alto Networks Support if the Test A Site information does not change after 2-3 days.
I hope this helps you understand how to enter a change for an incorrect URL categorization.
