Details

By default, the traffic and all other monitor logs on the Palo Alto Networks firewall is logged with source and destination IP address. However, there is an option to resolve the IP to their hostnames.

 

Steps

1.  Go to Monitor > Logs > Traffic and select the desired log to view.

2.  At the bottom of the page, enable the check box  > Resolve hostname.

The following screens shows the Resolve hostname unabled:

The following screen shows the monitor logs with Resolve hostname enabled:
