Endpoint: Failed to Verify the Connection to MS SQL for Installation with Windows Authentication Mode

Symptom


During installation, Windows Authentication was selected, but the Applicative user that was provided does not have DB owner privileges.

During the stage of verifying communication with the DB in the server installation, the verification will fail.

Resolution


Assign DB owner privileges to the applicative user by performing the following steps:

  1. In the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio window, click Security > Users > dbo under the database created to open the Database User window:
     
  2. If the DB owner is not selected in the Owned Schemas or Role Members sections of the Database User window,
    1. Select the check box and click OK
.
