How to Uninstall GlobalProtect Client Mac OS X

Environment


  • GlobalProtect App
  • macOS endpoints 


Resolution


  •  Uninstall via Terminal

$ sudo /Applications/GlobalProtect.app/Contents/Resources/uninstall_gp.sh

 

  • Uninstall via pkg file
  1. Run the initial .pkg file the was used to do the install. This can be re-downloaded from the GlobalProtect Portal page if it's no longer present on the endpoint.
  2. Select Continue on the Introduction page.

  1.  Under Destination Select tab choose Continue
  2.  Under Installation Type, uncheck 'GlobalProtect', check 'Uninstall GlobalProtect', and then select Continue

  1. Click 'Install' to confirm that you want to uninstall the App
  2.  Enter the GlobalProtect username and password associated with the endpoint once prompted

  1. You should receive a confirmation message after the App is successfully removed
