Issue

Installation of the Terminal Server Agent on Server 2008 systems requires elevated privileges even when installed from an Administrator account.

Resolution

  • Right-click on the Command Prompt and Run as Administrator.

  • Navigate to the directory that contains the Terminal Server Agent and install MSI.

  • Execute the installation from the command prompt, enter the filename and press Enter.
