To configure a Palo Alto Networks firewall as a DHCP server:

  • Begin by opening a new WebUI management session
  • Navigate to Network > DHCP > DHCP Server
  • Click the Add button at the bottom of the window.
  • The DHCP Server configuration window will open and the DHCP server options will be displayed.
Note: The sections shaded in yellow are the minimum fields necessary for a working DHCP deployment, however additional options may be configured as needed.

  • Specify the default gateway and primary DNS
  • Specify the desired lease range in the 'IP Pools' section.

  • Click 'OK'
  • Commit the changes to enable DHCP services.
