How to Create a Profile to Forward Logs to Panorama

Overview

In order to see entries in the Panorama Monitor > Traffic or Monitor > Log screens, a profile must be created on the Palo Alto Networks device (or pushed from Panorama) to forward log traffic to Panorama. This document describes how to create the profile locally on the Palo Alto Networks device:

Steps

  1. Go to Policies > Security and open the Options for a rule.

  2. Under Log Setting, select New for Log Forwarding to create a new forwarding profile:

  3. Name the profile and check the appropriate boxes. Then, click OK.

  4. The new log forwarding profile is now attached to the policy. Click OK.

    Note: To use a profile pushed from panorama, select the profile and click OK:

  5. Commit
