Question


Is it possible to view IPv6 addresses in the Traffic logs on Firewall or Panorama?

Environment


  • Any Pan-OS.
  • Any PaloAlto Firewall.
  • Any Panorama.


Answer


Yes, we should be able to see IPv6 addresses on the Traffic logs both on the Firewalls and Panorama.
 


Additional Information


Note:
  • Firewall's Network interfaces must be enabled for the IPv6 traffic. The KB article provides this information.
  • Any IPv6 traffic that is traversing through the firewall is seen in the traffic log.
