Logs are not seen in the Unified Log view.

Symptom


  • When using GUI: Monitor > Logs > Unified on either Panorama or Firewall, none of the logs are displayed.
  • The logs are present in the respective areas such as traffic or threat, they just are not seen in the unified logs.
  • Unified Log display of Panorama is shown below.

Environment


  • PAN-OS 9.0.7.
  • Any Palo Alto Firewall.
  • Any Panorama.


Resolution


Clear preferences from debug console using the steps below
  1. Login to a separate tab and use https://<ip of the Panorama or Firewall>/debug)
  2. Click "Clear Preference" and wait for it to be completed
  3. Login to the Firewall WebUI page again, and the unified Logs are now seen.

The issue was seen in Palo Alto PA-3220 Firewall, but applicable to other Firewalls as well.
